Description

Our brains change depending on what we experience, and - as the Alexander Technique teaches us - when we employ conscious choice, we have agency over what we experience. Brain scientists have also learned that when our experiences are enjoyable and meaningful, our brain changes are more effective and long-lasting. In this workshop, inspired by and adapted from the work of Dr. Rick Hanson, we’ll explore practical tools from brain science to recognize habits, direct our attention toward pleasure and meaning, and increase our capacity for neuroplasticity.
