Description

Learn how to use Developmental Movement and Dart Procedures in Chair Work procedures, even when working without hands-on guidance.  The Dart Procedures and Developmental Movement are usually taught as a series of movements on the floor or by doing different types of standing primate positions.  It can be easy to see Dart Work as an adjunct set of movements that are not directly related to your basic teaching methods.  In this workshop we will transfer these procedures to the chair to guide students visually and verbally without hands-on guidance.  The work will be largely practical - demonstrating a procedure or a movement, and then directly applying it to Chair Work as a fundamental AT procedure.  This is a wonderful way to teach your students self-care and how to work on themselves.  As we move back to in-person lessons, these procedures will be just as relevant in hands-on work.
