Nancy Wanich-Romita (MFA, RSME, M.AmSAT) graduated from ACAT in 1984. She is the director of the Alexander Technique Mid-Atlantic Teacher training Course in Maryland. Nancy is also a dance educator, somatic practitioner, and co-author of Functional Awareness: Anatomy in Action for Dancers and Functional Awareness and Yoga publisher Oxford University Press. Romita is Senior Lecturer at Towson University (http://www.towson.edu/dance/fac-wanich-romita.asp), co-founder of Functional Awareness® (www.functionalawareness.org) She has presented her research throughout the world from Hong Kong to Helsinki and throughout the US. She was an invited presenter at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, the International Somatic Movement Educator and Therapists Association (ISMETA), the National Dance Education Organization, CORPS de Ballet International. She has previously presented at AmSAT ACGMs & the Alexander Technique International Congress.
