Anne Johnson is a Teacher of the Alexander Technique (certified AmSAT 2010, ATI 1996) as well as a vocalist and practicing artist with a BFA in painting. For the last twenty years she has utilized Alexander’s principles in the creative process, facilitating clearer, freer, and more dynamic personal expression for herself and countless students. Anne believes the Alexander Technique is at the heart of all we do. Anne has presented workshops integrating creativity with the Alexander Technique in the M.F.A. Creative Writing program at Rosemont College, in the Art Department at Swarthmore College, and to Women in Design at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. She presented workshops in the 10th and 11th International Congresses of the F.M. Alexander Technique and previous AmSAT Annual Conferences. She has also been a guest teacher in training programs in Japan, Ireland and the US. Anne currently teaches the Alexander Technique at the Esther Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University, as well as through the Mt Airy Learning Tree, a community organization in Philadelphia, PA. Her private practice includes teaching individuals, groups and businesses, helping people of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds.
