Renee Schneider teaches Alexander Technique in Normal, Illinois.  She has studied other alternative health modalities including Ortho-Bionomy®, Somatic Experiencing®, Somatic Resilience and Regulation, CranioSacral Therapy, Thai Reflexology, trigger point therapy, Reiki, and methods to integrate primitive reflexes.  Creative distillation of these practices informs her Alexander teaching to create new avenues of exploration. She owns several businesses including Baan Aksorn Thai Language School for expatriates in Bangkok and the Coquí Baby Cloth Diaper Company. She has a Bachelor’s degree in British Literature from UCLA, a Minor in Asian American Studies and an MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird at Arizona State University. She has worked philanthropically, serving in the Peace Corps, as a volunteer business consultant to assist recovery of businesses in Thailand after the 1997 Asian economic crisis, and as a manager of an adult and child literacy program in Watts, California. She is a founding member of the AT Diversity Coalition, which began in 2016. She is an activist at heart and enjoys team-building and creative problem-solving. She plays classical guitar and ukulele. She has a 10-year-old son and a husband who also loves the Technique.
